Barrow AFC fought back from behind to edge out League One side Mansfield Town 2-1 at Holker Street on Sunday, manager Adam Murray said.

What went wrong before the break?
Murray admitted his side started flat and treated the match like a pre-season friendly. “I think first half we went into it as a pre-season game,” he told the club’s official YouTube channel. “We were doing things that if it's Hartlepool in a few weeks we wouldn't normally do.” The early goal conceded after 12 minutes left the Bluebirds on the back foot.
How did Barrow turn it around?
A dressing-room reset at half-time sparked a second-half surge. “At half-time we just had a chat and had a few words in terms of doing it properly,” Murray said. Barrow switched to a front-foot approach, created far more chances and were rewarded with two second-half goals to clinch all three points.
Why the comeback matters
The win underlines the mental resilience Murray wants to see more of this season. “Goals that we wouldn’t normally concede and to bounce back from that with a mentality to go on and win the game was a real positive,” he said. The result keeps Barrow in the hunt for an upturn in form after a difficult start.
What’s next for the club?
Barrow sit 24th in League Two with 36 points from last season’s 46-game haul. Their next league outing comes quickly, so Murray will push for the same steel shown at Holker Street.
