Barrow AFC has completed the signing of midfielder Keaton Ward from Gateshead FC on an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old, who joined Gateshead in January, scored four goals in 14 appearances for the Heed during their National League survival campaign. Ward, a former player at Boston United and Altrincham, brings valuable experience to the club. Barrow manager Adam Murray highlighted Ward's track record as a goalscorer, noting their previous collaboration at Mansfield Town's academy. Murray, who managed Mansfield Town from 2014-2016, wasted no time integrating Ward into the squad, placing him on the bench for Saturday's 2-2 draw against Harrogate Town.
