Barrow have signed midfielder Adrian Allen on a season-long loan from League One side Stockport County. The 19-year-old arrives to bolster the squad as they look to build on a recent 1-0 win over Aldershot Town.

Allen began his career at Everton's academy and also had a spell with Rangers before joining Halifax Town last July. He made four substitute appearances for Halifax before being recalled by Stockport, where he made four appearances in League One last season, including a debut in the Carabao Cup against Crewe Alexandra in August 2025.

The move is part of Barrow's efforts to strengthen their midfield options. The club currently sits 17th in the National League with nine points from nine games. Their recent form shows two wins, two draws and one loss from the last five outings. The team has scored 8 goals and conceded 11 so far this season. Their next fixture is a home match against Eastleigh on Saturday.

Allen's arrival follows the signing of another 19-year-old midfielder, Corey Edwards, who was released by Rochdale in the summer after helping them win promotion. Edwards is said to have turned down other offers in favour of seeking first-team football with Barrow. Both young players are expected to compete for places immediately as the season progresses.
