Barrow AFC manager Adam Murray added to his squad prior to a home victory against Aldershot Town. The team brought in two teenage signings, midfielder Corey Edwards and forward Arian Allen, on loan from Stockport County for the remainder of the campaign.
Murray announced the arrivals before the Saturday fixture at Holker Street. He stated, "Barrow AFC manager Adam Murray strengthened his squad ahead of the 1-0 home win over Aldershot Town."
Edwards, who developed in Rochdale's youth setup, experienced trials at top-flight academies recently but opted for Barrow to pursue senior playing time. Allen comes after an initial loan spell at Halifax Town, where he featured several times and netted a couple of goals in a cup competition. The attacker had earlier been part of the youth systems at Everton and Glasgow Rangers prior to joining Stockport, for whom he played a handful of cup matches.
Both new signings participated in the triumph over Aldershot. Allen was in the starting lineup, while Edwards was listed as a substitute. The decisive goal came in the second half from R. Harper, a result that improved Barrow's standing in the National League.
Barrow's recent performances include a mix of wins, draws, and a single defeat from their previous five matches. Their next challenge is an away game against high-flying Southend.
