Barrow have signed 19-year-old midfielder Corey Edwards from Rochdale. The teenager joins the Bluebirds after turning professional in May and will wear the number 5 shirt.

Edwards made his senior debut as a scholar and became a regular feature for Rochdale towards the end of their promotion-winning campaign last season. He gained experience in their youth system and had trials at Premier League academies over the summer before choosing to move to Holker Street.

Manager Adam Murray has strengthened his squad with the addition, bringing in a player seeking valuable first-team football. Edwards has been registered in time to be available for selection.

Barrow currently sit 17th in the National League with nine points from nine games. Their recent form shows two wins, two draws and one loss from the last five outings. The next test is a trip to face second-placed Southend on Saturday. Fans can check the full schedule on the club's fixtures page and view the updated squad list.
