Barrow boss Adam Murray believes the 'bond' between the team and fans will be vital as the Bluebirds set to begin their National League campaign. Murray's side make the trip to Hartlepool United on Saturday to begin their return to the fifth tier. The Bluebirds are currently 24th in England League Two, 36 points from safety, with 9 wins, 9 draws, and 28 losses from 46 games, and a recent form of LLLWL.

The backing of the fans will be vital as the Bluebirds look to return to League Two at the first time of asking. Murray said: "There'll be a good Barrow following making the trip - that's another massive positive for us as a team. I think there's a super clear bond and connection between the team and the fans. “They know that we’ll be going out there giving them everything, and the players just need the same. "We need the fans this season to stick by us, support us as much as they can, as long as these fans see their team giving everything to try and achieve that, we’ll stay in a good place."
