Barrow Raiders have suffered another blow with Curtis Teare ruled out with a thumb issue. It is not the news Raiders would have wanted, particularly as Teare has been in good form in recent games. Joe Bullock is rated 50-50, he has a slight back problem, while Brad Singleton is carrying an ankle injury and is ruled out. Jarrad Stack could also miss out through work commitments, but head coach Paul Crarey is hopeful the former skipper may make the trip to Halifax. On top of that Harvey Makin had been recalled by parent club Wigan for reserve team duty against Warrington. In return, local boy Finn McMillan is back in his hometown colours. Charlie Emslie is back in contention, while Stevie Watson and Seth Woodend have been recalled from North Wales Crusaders and are included in the 21-man squad. On a brighter note, Brad Walker and Ryan Johnston are back on board. Walker has missed the last two games, while Johnston pulled out at the last minute through injury sustained in the pre-match warm up with Rochdale. Shane Toal has been given the green light. He came off early in the Rochdale game with a calf injury but is OK now. Crarey said: “We are down to the bare bones and go with a depleted squad. “It will be tough at Halifax, and I am sweating that we don’t pick up any more injuries with Doncaster coming on Wednesday night. “Ellis Robson and Matty Costello are still not available, but I am hoping they'll both be back for the final game at home to Whitehaven in two weeks. “Halifax have had their problems this season and despite a hefty defeat at Sheffield last week they did play some good rugby. “They have had some good wins and some hefty defeats so we will have to be on our guard.
