Barrow have signed midfielder Isaac Marriott and forward Olly Crankshaw from National League rivals Altrincham. Marriott, 26, made 148 National League appearances for Alty after joining in December 2021. Boss Adam Murray told the club website that Marriott is somebody they know they can rely on week in and week out. Crankshaw, 27, scored 10 goals in 30 appearances for Altrincham last season and previously won promotion from the National League with Stockport County. Murray praised Crankshaw's creativity and character, saying he doesn't just bring a lot of creativity, he's also a big character who wants success. The length of the deals Marriott and Crankshaw have signed has not been disclosed. Barrow, relegated from League Two last season, will be looking to bounce back with the help of their new signings. The club has been busy in the transfer market, and these signings are a clear indication of their intent to return to League Two. The fans will be eager to see how the new signings perform, and the club will be hoping to make a strong start to the season. Barrow's journey back to League Two begins now, and the signings of Marriott and Crankshaw are a big step in the right direction.
