Barrow will aim to extend their winning run to four matches when they host Wealdstone at Holker Street on Saturday. The Bluebirds are in strong form, sitting 12th in the National League with 15 points from 11 games.

Their recent surge includes a 3-0 home victory over Scunthorpe on Tuesday, with goals from Rekeem Harper, Alex Reid and Arian Allen. That result followed a 4-2 away win at Southend and a 1-0 home success against Aldershot Town.

Manager's view

Adam Murray acknowledged the progress but stressed there is much more to come from his young squad. "We're a million miles off," the Barrow boss said. "We're absolutely a million miles off of the potential of where this team can be."

He said a lot of experienced players have departed, bringing in a group with hunger and desire. Murray accepts that errors will come with youth, but believes they are honest mistakes the team can work with.

Opposition check

Wealdstone arrive in 17th place, presenting a different challenge. "It's another tough game," Murray added. "They're a very organised team so, it's going to be a team we're going to have to break down."

The Stones' recent form is mixed, with a draw against Forest Green and a 4-0 win over Gateshead in their last two outings. Barrow's focus, according to Murray, remains purely on their own performance and continuing their positive momentum at home. The match kicks off at 3pm on October 3.
